Neuroaffirming Psychology Support
Affirming support for neurodivergent experiences
Neurodivergence is a natural variation in how people think, feel, process information, and experience the world. It may include autism, ADHD, or other differences in attention, sensory processing, communication, and emotional regulation.
At Mind Bloom Psychology, I provide neuroaffirming support that values your lived experience and focuses on understanding your unique strengths, challenges, and needs without judgement or pathologising.
What does neuroaffirming mean?
A neuroaffirming approach means working with you in a way that respects neurodivergent experiences rather than trying to “fix” or change who you are.
It is about:
Understanding your individual way of experiencing the world
Recognising strengths as well as challenges
Reducing shame and self-criticism
Supporting self-understanding and self-acceptance
Creating strategies that actually work for your nervous system and lifestyle
You do not need to mask or present in a certain way to be supported here.
How therapy can help
Neuroaffirming therapy can support you in:
Understanding traits of ADHD, autism, or neurodivergence
Exploring late diagnosis or self-identification
Managing overwhelm, burnout, or sensory overload
Navigating emotional regulation difficulties
Reducing masking and people-pleasing patterns
Building routines and strategies that feel sustainable
Improving self-understanding and self-compassion
Navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions
Late diagnosis and self-discovery
Many people seek support after a late diagnosis or during a process of self-exploration. This can bring relief, grief, confusion, or a sense of reinterpreting past experiences.
Therapy can provide space to process these experiences and develop a deeper understanding of yourself in a way that feels validating and supportive.
My approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for neurodivergent experiences.
Rather than focusing on “fixing” behaviours, I work with you to understand what you need to feel more supported, regulated, and comfortable in your daily life.
Together, we can explore strategies that align with your strengths, needs, and nervous system, rather than forcing you into approaches that do not fit.
Who this support is for
This service may be helpful if you:
Identify as autistic, ADHD, or neurodivergent
Are exploring a possible neurodivergent profile
Have received a late diagnosis and are adjusting to it
Experience burnout, overwhelm, or sensory sensitivity
Struggle with emotional regulation or executive functioning
Feel different, misunderstood, or “not like others”
Want support that feels validating and non-judgemental
Telehealth psychology across Australia
All sessions are provided via secure telehealth, allowing you to access support from anywhere in Australia. Early morning appointments are also available for those with work, study, or caregiving commitments.
A space where you do not have to mask
You do not need to present a certain way or “fit” a standard model of therapy to be supported here. Therapy is adapted to you, your communication style, and your needs.

Parenting & Attachment Support
Support for parenting stress, connection, and emotional wellbeing
Parenting can be deeply meaningful, but it can also feel overwhelming, exhausting, and emotionally complex at times. Many parents experience moments of self-doubt, stress, or uncertainty about how to best support their child while also managing their own emotional needs.
At Mind Bloom Psychology, I provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space to help you navigate the emotional and relational challenges that can arise in parenting.
Understanding parenting through an attachment lens
My approach to parenting support is informed by attachment principles, including Circle of Security concepts, which focus on understanding the emotional needs behind behaviour and strengthening the parent–child relationship.
Rather than focusing on “perfect parenting,” the emphasis is on helping you feel more confident, connected, and responsive in your relationship with your child.
How therapy can help
Parenting support may help you:
Understand your child’s emotional and behavioural needs
Feel more confident in responding to challenging behaviours
Navigate feelings of overwhelm, frustration, or guilt
Strengthen emotional connection with your child
Explore patterns that may be influencing parenting responses
Break intergenerational cycles of stress or disconnection
Develop more calm, consistent, and intentional responses
Common concerns I support
You may find therapy helpful if you are experiencing:
Parenting stress or burnout
Feeling “not good enough” as a parent
Difficulty managing emotional outbursts or behaviours
Anxiety about your child’s wellbeing or development
Struggles with consistency or boundaries
Feeling disconnected from your child
adjustment difficulties related to parenting transitions or family changes (including adjustment disorder)
My approach
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in understanding both the child’s emotional world and the parent’s lived experience.
I recognise that parenting does not happen in isolation, and that your own experiences, stress levels, and support systems all play a role in how you show up in your parenting.
Together, we can explore practical strategies while also supporting emotional insight, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of confidence in your parenting role.
Attachment-informed support (Circle of Security principles)
I integrate attachment-informed ideas, including Circle of Security principles, to help parents better understand their child’s needs for safety, connection, and support. This can provide a helpful framework for strengthening relationships and reducing conflict or misunderstanding.
Telehealth psychology across Australia
All sessions are provided via secure telehealth, allowing you to access support from anywhere in Australia. Early morning appointments are also available for parents balancing work, family, and other responsibilities.
You do not have to do this alone
Parenting can feel heavy at times, and seeking support does not mean you are failing — it means you are caring about your relationship with your child.
